@farnau Could you try to follow the steps described by @edwardmartiniii above?

    1. Could you try to reproduce the issue in a different browser?
    2. Try to switch to a different theme for a few minutes, and see if it helps.
    3. Try to deactivate all other plugins, one at a time, and let me know if you find a conflicting plugin.

If none of this helps, could you check your browser’s javascript console and let me know if you see any errors when loading your site’s home page?

The problem presist doing the following:
    1. Deactivating the rest of plugins.
    2. Using different themes.
    3. With Chrome and IE.
    4. Reinstalling wordpress.

The javascript console only shows the following error:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) https://www.googleapis.com/plus/v1/people//activities/public?callback=jQuer…2Cplusoners%2Creplies%2Cresharers%2Curl)%2Cpublished%2Ctitle%2Curl%2Cverb)

But I think that there is no relation between the javascript error and the image error.

The javascript error remains, so the problem could be linked to the theme itself. Could you try to switch to a different theme for a few minutes, and let me know if the Javascript error disappears?

    Thanks!

The problem persists using twentytwelve theme.

farnau: have you tried switching to twentytwelve AND deactivating your other plugins, to see if it’s a plugin conflict?

If the issue still persists, it’d be useful for me to see the issue myself by logging in to the site. Could you create an admin login for me? You can send th ecredentials to us using our contact form:

make sure to include a link to this thread as well! ??

    hello all

My stats bar disappeared as well and noticed that in you login into your site as admin and go to the top left of the screen, select “Visit site” under your site name then the bar will re-appear.

    Pan

I switched to twentytwelve and deactivated all the other plugings and the problem persisted. Besides, some widgets deconfigured and I had to configure again. It is very strange, could be problem of the folder rights?

Hi Farnau, could you send me login info to our contact form? I’m sorry it didn’t appear previously:

    https://jetpack.me/contact-support/

I noticed that if I attempt to go to the link where the image gets its source, it prompts me to log in even though I’m already logged in. What’s worse is that it’s refusing to take my login credentials even though they are accurate (I know since I just used them to log in).
