This is more of an informational post but solving the issue would be very nice.
I have encountered a strange issue with Jetpack. I installed the plugin for the sole purpose of being able to use the Woo mobile app to track orders on my phone.
The problem is that every time an order came through my CPU usage spiked to 100% and sometimes even crash my server. I was trying some stuff and I noticed that when I launched the mobile app the same spike happened. I deactivated the plugin and added an order manually (that would previously result in a CPU usage spike) and everything was as it was supposed to be. No frozen dashboard, no CPU spike and no crashes.
If there is more info on the issue I would love to hear it.

    Hi @orestiszouras

One thing I would check is to make sure that you’re only using the Jetpack modules you want.

Most of Jetpack is designed to speed up your site by taking load off of your server, like our site accelerator https://jetpack.com/support/site-accelerator/ or stats https://jetpack.com/support/wordpress-com-stats/ subscriptions https://jetpack.com/support/subscriptions/ and related posts https://jetpack.com/support/related-posts/ which are all processed on our end (rather than hammering your database as these features traditionally do).

With that said though, the more Jetpack modules you add, the more your site has to initially process, just like it would if you added a separate plugin for the features, so always make sure you’re only using the features you want.

You can access a list of all Jetpack modules by following this guide:

    https://jetpack.com/support/control-jetpacks-modules-on-one-page/

Once you’re there, you can activate/deactivate any modules you wish.

@bruceallen Hi thanks a lot for that info. Do you know which module should be active for the Woo Mobile App? thats the only feature i want active. Thanks again!

    Hello, there.

The “woocommerce-analytics” module you’ll see on the “one page” as Bruce’s last link shows will be helpful, but really Jetpack being connected at all is the requisite for getting our mobile apps to work properly.

Please let us know if you have any other questions!

UPDATE : I did disable the modules and only left the “woocommerce-analytics” module running. This did help a lot. The usage spike is still there but its much shorter and does not cause any visible problems (eg crashing the server) from what i have seen so far. I will also try to disable the “woocommerce-analytics” and see if the app still works. I got some information that its a jetpack issue regarding the number of API requests the plugin makes. I cannot confirm whether or not that is true but just adding this to the update.

Thanks for the update. WooCommerce Analytics is not required for the Woo Mobile app to work, so you should have no problem if you disable it.

If you can provide any more specifics about that issue, we may be able to advise further.
