Jetpack Social disable excerpt

    How can I automatically deactivate the excerpt for each post when sharing to threads? What is the hook for this? This wall of text is too much.

    Hi there, @mobiflip,

    There’s no built-in option to completely disable the excerpt; if the default excerpt length is too long, you can use the?custom excerpt feature?to set a message for their desired length:

    Thanks for the reply and the tip. I’ve already discovered that, but it doesn’t solve the problem. I would then have to adjust this field manually for every post. It would defeat the purpose of a plugin that automatically shares in the network.

    Hey @mobiflip,

    I see that. Since I don’t have another workaround for you, my suggestion is to flag this as an enhancement for our developers’ attention via this GitHub link. Maybe a toggle to turn it off and on might come in handy to you.

    Improvement requests coming from our users get more attention ??
