    Hello

I have a problem with Jetpack
in the hosting provider SiteGround is asking me the ip and ports required to connect to the Jetpack services

The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site https://www.ayudaprogramacionmagazine.net [HTTP 403]. Ask your web host if they allow connections

    Howdy –

The Jetpack connection is not actively established with the site so it’s impossible for us to run it through the debug for troubleshooting.

In any case, Jetpack, much like other plugins, services, and apps like the mobile apps, relies on the XML-RPC file to communicate with WordPress.com.

You should be able to protect a site’s XML-RPC file without having to whitelist specific IP ranges. Will you follow up with SiteGround about that?

If you have to whitelist IPs (which I didn’t think they required) you’ll find those details at the very bottom of this page: https://jetpack.com/support/hosting-faq/
