• Resolved The Four Fours

    Hi,

Not sure if you can help as it involves another plugin.

I have enabled jetpack sharing buttons at the bottom of each post of my wordpress site at thefourfours.com. However, when they cross post to tumblr they display as a bulleted list, which is no real hardship. However, the bulletted list has an additional bullet point on the end with no link (see thefourfours.tumblr.com) which looks a little messy.

I’d either like to remove the additional bullet point, but if this isn’t possible I’d happily lose the entire bulleted list.

as additional feature it might be cool to add some sort of shortcode to exclude specific text from crossposting. However, in this case I don’t think this would help me due to the nature of how Jetpack works.

    Thanks for reading.

So, I tried to ensure that Tumblr Crosspostr would make no assumptions about what kind of content you were sending to Tumblr (other than what Tumblr supported, of course). This means that other plugins which modify the contents of your post themselves (as opposed to themes that simply display the content of your post differently) are able to modify the contents of your crossposts, too. This is intentional.

However, you’re seeing a plain-looking bulleted because while the content of the list’s share buttons are being crossposted, the associated CSS styling is not. That, again, is intentional. You can make the buttons on your Tumblr look the same way as they do on your WordPress blog by finding the relevant CSS styles and adding them to the custom CSS in your Tumblr header. Tumblr’s Theme documentation describes this more.

    Hope this helps.
