    That’s indeed how Facebook’s Like Button works. It doesn’t appear in your timeline, but it does appear in your activity log ( https://i.wpne.ws/YqCB ) and your friends will see the Like in their newsfeed.

    To access your activity log, go to your profile page on Facebook, and click on the “View Activity Log” button appearing above your cover image:

    • If you’d like to use a sharing button (that will post on your timeline) instead of a Like button, go to Settings > Sharing in your dashboard and choose a different button style. Anything but “Official Buttons” will do.
