Jetpack shares unshortened twitter links with bitly

Jetpack worked fine with the wp.me shortened links on twitter, but not with bitly. When I publish a post and Jetpack sends it to social media sites all work fine except twitter.

Twitter shows the unshortened wordpress url with the post number. If I add the bitly link in the Jetpack area, then two links are sent to twitter.

All other social media get the bilty link just fine.
