• Hi,

I looked at the login logs for my site today and I have a question. I have Jetpack protect and according to this plugin there were almost 1000 blocked login attempts, but none of these are showing on the login logs. Is the purpose of the log to identify IPs that are attempting to hack a site? If so then why aren’t the attempts showing on the log? And if not, then what are the logs supposed to be used for?

Also, is there any way to change the time stamp on the log to my local time?

    Thanks for the info.

The logs are stored if login attempts are made in admin panel or using the login widget or using plugin shortcode. If you have any other ways of user login, maybe using any other plugin then logs may not be stored. As the plugin may not be compatible with that plugin.

The time stamp is from your server. If you want to store your local time in the log then time calculation has to be made at the time of log insertion.

Thanks for the help! My login form must be associated with another plugin; I’ll try switching things around and see what happens.
