While editing a WordPress page with jetpack active (using the stock Gutenberg editor), I clicked on the green Jetpack symbol in the upper right corner. A lot of things disappeared in the editor screen. I’ve determined that somehow Jetpackhas changed to color scheme so many things became white which makes them invisible. For example many of the buttons in the upper right corner, many of the items in the right column of the editor and all the content of the block editing form that pops up above any block in the page content. I uninstalled JetPack, re-logged in, re-opened the page editing window all to no help. Whatever JetPack did seems permanent and has ruined my day.

    Hi there,

We could not reproduce the issue you are describing here, so there may be site-specific settings, themes, or plugins that are conflicting with Jetpack.

Could you please post your site URL along with the screenshots here so that we can see what you’re describing?

You can create screenshots using something like Snipboard or Imgur and post the link here.

If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form. If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread.

    Thanks!

Notice all the blank spaces where there used to be text in the WordPress fields.

    This is

      only

happening when editing existing pages. It does not happen in posts, existing or new, nor does it happen when creating a new page.

This started only after clicking the JetPack green icon in the top right corner of one of my existing pages.

I reinstalled WordPress 5.8.1 with no change.

    Hi there,

It looks like the issue is not with Jetpack and actually it is with the Link Library plugin that is active on your site.

If you will deactivate the Link Library plugin then the problem should solve. You may contact the Link Library plugin to report the issue.

Once more think I want to point is the problem with the Link Library plugin is only when your theme is active but if you will switch your theme to default one like Twenty Twenty then you will not notice the issue with the Link Library plugin – which indicates compatibility issue of the Link Library plugin with your theme. But I would recommend you to first reach the Link Library plugin and then the theme as per the response from the Link Library plugin.

I found the problem. It was with the Link Library, but not the plugin’s fault. I had added custom css to make the text on buttons white. It affected the whole site, not just the pages produced by the plugin. I guess it just didn’t take effect on the editing page until I hit the JetPack icon which reloaded the page I was editing in WordPress. All is good now. Thanks for your help.
