Jetpack REPEATEDLY failing.

    This makes the second time on two sites that I’ve gone to the wordpress stats page only to find that no stats have been recorded for a couple of days and the message “This site cannot be accessed. Disconnect Site” appearing in red where the site name usually is.

    NOTHING has been done to these sites by me during this time or the time preceeding.

    Each time when I go to the plugins page I am greeted with this message:

    “The plugin jetpack/jetpack.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.”

    The directory exists and its contents remain the same.

    Removing and then using the automated install fails on unpacking.

    The only way to restore is to remove the plugin and manually install.

    … until it happens again.
