    Hi,

    Hope you’ll help me find the solution (I’ve spent 2 hours on it… without

    finding the solution)

    Whenever I try to activate Jetpack, I’m faced with 2 problems:

    – if I use my WordPress account, it sends a message that Jetpack with unable

    to communicate with my server (problem with the XLMRC.php file);

    – when I activate the plugin directly (without the WordPress account then try

    to activate the recommended features, it says:

    JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data

    Could you please help me understand and solve these problems?

    Thanks for your help

    Hi,
    The problem remains unsolved…

    I wish I could send you my screens wher the problem is shown. This is what it says:
    An error has occurred while activating recommended features/Updating/disconnecting Jetpack. Error: SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position O.

    Does it help?
    Thanks for your help

    Hi @bature419, your server seems to be responding to XMLRPC requests, so I’m wondering if your Jetpack installation is just missing something.

    If you’re still having trouble, would you be willing to deactivate and delete the plugin, then reinstall it fresh? And then go ahead and try connecting it again.
