    Hi there,

I noticed that you have Yoast’s SEO plugin installed. I’ve tested and it shouldn’t cause I problem, but I wonder if it IS causing a problem for you? Would it be possible to deactivate it and then puclish a new post, to see what happens? let me know once you’ve done that. Thanks!

My apologies for taking so long, I was waiting for my blog writer to have the next article.

So, I uninstalled Yoast SEO and uploaded a new post about 1 hour ago. For whatever reason, now jetpack isn’t working! The post was not publicized on any of my social media. As far as I know, I didn’t change any of the settings on jetpack.

here’s the link to that latest blog post:
    https://ambientar.co.cr/blog/2013/06/construccion-de-casas-disena-tu-espacio/

and the link to my FB page:
    https://www.facebook.com/Ambientar.Arquitectos

    what am I doing wrong??

    Hi there,

I see an error on our end for your Publicize connection to Facebook. Can you please remove the connection and then add it again on your Settings -> Sharing page, and then let me know when you’ve done that? I’ll check it again on our side then.

Ok, so from the WP dashboard I went to settings -> sharing, deleted the connection to my FB page and then added it again… Done.

Great, I no longer see the error on our end anymore. I suspect that it should work the next time that you publish something, as everything else looks ok now. Let me know when you try again!

Errr…. Strike Two sorry to say!!! I just posted another story and same thing….. ??

curiously enough, on linkedin the post made by jetpack appears fine, the feature image thumbnail shows up without error. Only on Facebook does the error occur.

    Hi,

Can you give me a link to the erroneous post and Facebook update?

    (@crdave)

same as before, our facebook address is

    https://www.facebook.com/Ambientar.Arquitectos

scroll down a bit and you’ll see the posting from June 13 which was the last blog post I attempted to publicize. (there’s another post there that has images but thats not from wordpress)

    Hi,

For some reason, the links on your Facebook page always include /WP_blog/ in it, when your site is actually /blog/.

What do you have on your Settings -> General page, for WordPress URL and Site URL?

    Thread Starter crdave

    (@crdave)

in the WP dashboard under general settings both wordpress address and site address are directed to https://ambientar.co.cr/blog

The only thing I can think of is that wordpress is actually installed in the /wp_blog/ directory not the /blog/ directory

    (@richardmtl)

I think I can fix this for you, but can you check one thing for me: make sure about where our site’s WordPress files actually are. Are they in /blog/ or in /WP_blog/ ? You can double-check this with FTP. I think they’re in /blog/, but please check that for me. Thanks!

    Thread Starter crdave

    (@crdave)

You’re right! I checked through my web-host’s ftp and the files are under /public_html/blog/ not /wp_blog/.

I use host gator and they have a “Quick Install” feature for the WP plugin, and under the “manage installations” tab it says underneath the name of the plugin the URL as: https://www.ambientar.co.cr/WP_blog/ (although going to that page actually sends me back to the home page).

Great, so here’s what we’ll do: I will fix the settings on our end, and then … that’s it! It should fix the links being sent to Facebook. Just in case something goes wrong, your current blog id is 43591464 in our system, should we ever need it.

Hi, were you able to make the changes to the settings? Should I try posting another blog entry?
