    Good morning,

On Tuesday my site sent me a message saying that there was an issue with Jetpack. I was unable to login to my site so I followed instructions given by WordPress and (1) logged into my site using a safe login, and (2) renamed my plugins folder in cPanel to plugins.hold.

After completing these steps, I exited safe mode and started to re-enable my plugins. Once Jetpack had a new update available, I completed that update and activated the plugin.

At this point, however, I get a warning telling me that there’s an issue with my social media (Twitter and tumblr) connections. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting them, but the warning remains.

At this point, I’m unsure of what to do. Any help you can suggest will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    John

An update. I have temporarily deleted all Jetpack plugins from my site.

    Hi @zelandroid009,

Please install the Jetpack Social plugin and try connecting your social media accounts again.

Let us know how that goes.

    Hi Daniel,

    Thank you for your reply.

I have re-installed the Jetpack plugin, including social connections. I continue to see the same error.

I think it’s because I once had my site linked through a different account that I had to cancel.

    Hi John!

I continue to see the same error.
I think it’s because I once had my site linked through a different account that I had to cancel.

If you created the connections to social media using a different WordPress.com account connected to Jetpack, and didn’t choose the “Connection available to all administrators, editors, and authors” option, that might be what is going on here.

If you’d like us to look into this further based on your WordPress.com username(s), please contact us at the form I’ve linked here. Make sure to link this thread in your ticket.
