Jetpack preferences doesn’t load

    hello, I can’t access Jetpack preferences nor connect to WordPress.com, the latest “stable” jetpack gives me this error, so does the latest 4.8 beta. I’ve communicated with my host and the problem is not on their side, yes I tried uploading directly via ftp, still no joy, output debug.log below, yes I reinstalled WordPress from scratch, on plugin there is akismet.

    actually if you look at the last few lines of the log, I already tried it, 4.8 b2 has its own problems

    Thanks for giving it a try. The errors all report files that are included in Jetpack. Could you check and see if the Jetpack directory includes the following file on your site?

    sal/class.json-api-date.php

    Ok, I just installed the stable 4.8, menu loads fine,the error I now get is;
    cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 15001 milliseconds with 0 out of -1 bytes received

    I believe this is on my side, my host told me he blocks xmlrpc.php for security reasons, I’ll take it up with him and mark this as solved.

    Thanks for your support, doesn’t seem like an easy thing to do.

    It’s odd, it looks like some of the files are missing from your installation of Jetpack.

    Could you try to delete the plugin, and then installing it manually by uploading the files via FTP as explained here:

    Hi Jeremy,
    Thanks for your help, but I’ve dropped WordPress in favour of Grav , due to constant annoying performance and security issues. So for my peace of mind and sanity….
