    We have been using Jetpack Post by Email since the site was launched and had no problems. Text was correct and attached photos were inserted as image galleries. (I’ve been using this for ages on other sites I manage, also without any problems.)

    This week the past two attempts have resulted in all the attached images being rejected. “Invalid response from the Jetpack site” it says.

    Nothing has changed as far as I know. The images were, as before, all under the 2MB size limit and the staff posting have used the same method as before and sent from the same e-mail address. I have made no changes to the site since last week when it was working. It’s just started rejecting all the images.

    I’ve checked with my host and there is nothing they can see causing a problem.

    It’s a www.remarpro.com site and I’ve since added the rejected photos manually.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    The blog I need help with is https://www.stgilesgreatmaplestead.uk.

    @foolhandy – I’m sorry you’ve not yet been helped, but I’m sure they are interested – sounds like they are just super busy with more support requests than support people. I know that can be frustrating, but they really are committed to helping everyone who is having difficulty. Try to hang in there a bit longer :)!

    If you haven’t already, try replying to the email again.

    I’ve just tested it again and it’s not magically started to work properly so I’ve sent off another e-mail.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    That’s what I’ve done, and they don’t seem interested… ??

    We should have replied to you by now. I assume that one of my colleagues has been in touch with you. Feel free to reply to them if you still experience issues!

    @matternj We’ll reply to you too!

    For now I disconnected Jetpack Protect, which seems the most logical and currently works.
    Thank You.

    This worked for me too! Well done…

    I’m awaiting feedback now as to whether this is an advised solution or if there’s a workaround that doesn’t involve me manually white listing a large number of IP addresses.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    @matternj Thanks for the feedback, that’s really helpful! We’ll look into this some more and I’ll post again here when I have some news, or a fix that would allow you to use both modules.

    ok thanks

    @matternj Thanks for your help! I had the same issue; deactivated Jetpack Protect and the issue is resolved.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Could you all try to reactivate the Protect module? We fixed the problem on our end, and you should now be able to use Post By Email and the Protect module without running into any issues.

    I guess we will have to update the Plugins, because today is still not working.

    However thanks

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Could you try to enable debug on your site, by adding the following to your site’s wp-config.php file:

    define('WP_DEBUG', true);
    define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true);
    define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);

    Then, try publishing a post by email including an image, and once you’ve done so check the /wp-content/debug.log file in your WordPress installation.

    Could you paste the results here?

    Thanks!
