JetPack: Post by Email Only "Scheduling" New Posts

    Hello.

    I have just activated JetPack for my website headandheartparents.com because I wanted to use the Post by Email feature. I got an email address, but everything I send goes to “Scheduled” instead of auto-posting to the blog.

    I didn’t see any permission settings and changed all occurances of “pending” to “publish” in the wp-mail.php file.

    (ps. this feature works fine on my other website, so not sure what i’m doing wrong?)

    Can anyone please help??

  • Hi there,

    You really shouldn’t edit core files. ??

    Your first step should be reinstalling WordPress (by going to Dashboard -> Updates). Once you’ve done that, try again to see if they still go to Scheduled.

    Also, you might want to try step 1 from https://jetpack.me/troubleshooting/troubleshooting-tips/ to see if it’s not a plugin conflict. I realize that this might be a bit tedious with Post by Email, so alternatively, could you tell me which plugins are installed?
