    Hello,

When we open an existing page or post in WordPress Visual mode we are not able to see the content. When we reopen the page we can see the content in text mode but we are not able to see the content not in visual mode.

The issue also persist when we create a new page.

When we analyzed this we see that the JetPack plugin installed on the website causes the conflict. When the JetPack plugin is enabled the issue persist but after disabling the JetPack plugin we can see the content in visual mode.

We are using the latest version of Jetpack by WordPress.com 5.2.1

Please advise us to fix this issue.

    Thanks

  • Confirmed. Same issue for us – Visual Editor broken in some areas.

    I’m having the same issue.

Same issue with the Notification Editor in the Gravity Forms plugin on our site. “Text Mode” visible, but once the “Visual” mode tab is selected, see nothing and then cannot switch back to “Text” mode.

I found that I disconnect form WordPress.com (i.e., do not “Connect to JetPack”), the “Visual” mode problems go away. I have also found that the only way I can “Connect to JetPack” and everything work is to roll back JetPack to version 5.0.

I am experiencing this problem as well. I don’t see it in regular posts and pages, but it is happening when I try to edit WooCommerce product descriptions.

When going to edit a product category description, if the editor for the description starts on the visual tab, the text of the description does not appear. If the editor stars on the text tab, the text is there, however, if I switch to the visual tab, it disappears.

After the text has disappeared, the text is still missing when switching back to the text tab. If I switch back and forth between tabs again, the text entry box disappears.

Exact same problem and behavior with Gravity Forms Notification editor. Had to roll back Jetpack to version 5.0.

    Hi there,

There is a known conflict between the new Jetpack contact form and any plugin that uses a TinyMCE text editor.

Our developers are working on a fix for this, and you can follow their progress here for updates:
    https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/7598

Meanwhile, the simplest workaround is to install and activate this plugin, which should resolve the conflict:
    https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack-addons/archive/disable-grunion-editor-view.zip

You can download that to your computer and then upload it to your site via Plugins > Add New by clicking the ‘Upload Plugin’ button.

We’ll also get back to you as soon as a fix is available.
