Jetpack permalink keeps changing

After I’ve saved a draft of my post and a permalink has been created, the permalink automatically changes whenever alter the title of my post. This has never happened before. Before, I had to manually alter the permalink if I wanted to change it. Now, if I add a special character to my title (like a star or heart), that symbol automatically becomes part of the permalink–which I don’t want.
