  • Either your web host is blocking access to files called xmlrpc.php or the file permissions for that file are restricting read access. If you don’t have access to your website files, you need to asking your hosting provider to make sure that the XML-RPC file has permissions set to 644.

The website is using WordPress but the host is different. You’ll need to ask them if this can be changed for you.

I’m new to this. I really appreciate your help, Daniel.
I can access the site and settings via wp-login.php. Is that enough?
How else can I access the files and security to them?

You’ll need to access the actual site files, you won’t be able to change the file permissions via the dashboard. I’d suggest contacting whoever hosts/manages the website hosting as they should have access for this and guide you on where to go as this can vary greatly depending on the set-up.

You are not hosted by WP. Your hosting seems to be with “suresupport”.

    Thanks guys.
Steve, I saw and wondered that. Will check with them. Thank you!
