I installed Jetpack and Jetpack Boost however both display an error when config is started. Boost says cannot connect to WordPress.com?

I have disabled all plugins except JP and the issue remains. The website is quite new with WP 6.02 and PHP 7.4.

    Hey there,

Could you please just only try to activate the Jetpack plugin on your site and connect to WordPress.com account?

Please make sure you have all other plugins deactivated, your site is using a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty and Jetpack plugin is updated to the latest version which is 11.3.2 at the moment.

If you get any error, please let us know the error message.

I’m disappointed that you take the same dumb route as all plugin suppliers that I have to disable all my other plugins. This is similar to reinstall Windows too!

I would expect that a company such as Jetpack has a smarter approach to this issue such as our plugin is being denied of xxx service or whatever in a time such as this that the WordPress codebase is turning into a mess.

So it took me quite some time and the only plugin that consistently breaks your Jetpack plugin is the latest Woocommerce plugin…go figure that mess. My Woocommerce is not configured yet as just installed as default so what do I do? I’m a software engineer so understand software so why have Jetpack got such poor diagnostics?

Bytherway another of my customers tells me that they could not get their Android WordPress app working because the app says RPC is not active which it was. In the end I tracked this down that Jetpack was not logged in so why could this be?

    Hi @thecatim

I am sorry to hear that it was frustrating. Troubleshooting for plugin and theme conflicts is the first step considering the WordPress ecosystem and the wide variety of installing different scripts/extensions from different vendors and developers!

Are you getting any specific errors when trying to connect Jetpack? You can use a free tool such as Imgur or Snipboard to send us a screenshot of the error.

We’d be happy to look into their issue further if they contact us, activating the Jetpack isn’t enough to be able to use the WordPress App, as Jetpack has to be fully connected to a WordPress.com account as illustrated in our guide:
