Recently uninstalled wordpress and added again on host due to difficulty but jetpack was not included with plugins when I went to the the new site even though it said it was. When I added it and tried to access its settings it said that I did not have persmission to access the page. When I uninstalled and reinstalled wordpress again finally to try to fix it, again jetpack was not there. when I tried to add it again, it said there was already a folder and would not install. I never deleted it in the first place and it simply is not there anywhere not in all, active or inactive plugins on the wordpress site. How can I make jetpack work? Thanks and regards.

Jetpack’s not a default plugin like Akismet so you’ll always have to add it.

when I tried to add it again, it said there was already a folder and would not install.

Log in via FTP and check for a folder to delete.

Thank you. I did not see this, but it seems to have resolved itself. I am not sure why! Best regards.
