Jetpack [Moving Items (share buttons, related posts) Not working]

  • I run a review site, and frequently use multiple pages to split up the content.

    Unfortunately Jetpacks recent posts and sharing buttons appear above the page numbers

    I have followed the tutorials provided but in various places, but whenever I refresh a page after making the amendments I just get a white screen and have to undo the changes to get my site working again.

    Is there any other way of changing the position?

    Howdy,

    Could you provide more details on what you tried that failed? With the white screen errors, your server’s PHP error logs typically will have recorded the error which could tell us why what you tried failed.

    Hi Brandon,

    Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I never received the notification email.

    I tried the steps with editing the functions.php file and then adding the code in to my single.php where I wanted the buttons.

    I tried that multiple times… but it never worked…

    it also didn’t work with just putting the stuff into the function.php to remove the buttons.

    I then tried the JavaScript option.. this also didn’t work..

    In regards to Logs – I’ll see what I can dig out.

    If you could provide any details with what you changed (like the actual snippets added to functions.php), that would be great too.

    It might be something silly like the quotes used in the copy/pasted text snippets in the tutorials might have been the “fancy” ones instead of straight quotes (which will break things), etc.
