    Hi,

We had our production site https://www.thelatzreport.com.au set up with Jetpack stats. Our developer created a new staging site tlrstaging1.wpengine.com as a copy of the production site, and we all of a sudden started receiving error messages on the production site asking us to use safe mode.

The user clicked on “Create new link” instead of safe mode and now it appears that our existing production site has lost all of its stats and followers. They went and deleted the staging site’s Jetpack plugin and tried to reconnect the production site’s jetpack connection, but it says “it appears your connection is broken”.

Is it possible to reconnect our production site to the original Jetpack stats by reconnecting the Blog ID?

    Hey @lindalatzreport,

I’ve merged the stats from your staging site into your new site. You can verify these updates by logging in to WordPress.com and going to the link below:

    https://wordpress.com/stats/insights

From there, choose the site you’d like to view stats for.

It didn’t look like there was much data though. Is that expected?

    Cheers!

    Hi Jen,

Thanks for your helps, but this is still not correct. The Latz Report website has been operational since September last year (2019) and I am assuming the account still exists but is no longer linked.

When the new staging site was set up a few days ago the production site had already been in existence for 12 months. We should have stats dating back to Sept 2019. It looks like the user clicked on the second option instead of clicking on Safe Mode when Jetpack noticed the replica site.

I’ve been reading and it has to do with reassigning the original Blog ID?

    Cheers

    Hi there!

Digging a bit further, it looks like there were two historic unique blog IDs associated to your staging site URL (the blog ID being what Jetpack uses to identify a site). This other blog ID had stats on it going back to September 2019. I’ve now merged those stats as well. Do those new stats match what you would expect to be seeing? Let us know if not. Thank you!

I just migrated my site form AWS lightsail to different instance and lost all my stats.

    My website is: https://PWrestling.com

Kindly help to fix this issue for me ASAP.
