JetPack / Master Slider plugin conflict

    I’ve found a conflict between Master Slider (free edition) and Jetpack (free edition). This may interest anyone with a blank page in the Jetpack admin pages (dashboard and settings page.)

    I have both Master Slider (free) and JetPack installed. With both active, I cannot view the JetPack Dashboard or Settings page; they are blank.

    After disabling/re-enabling all of my plugins one by one, I found that the conflict was between these two plugin. When I disable Master Slider, Jetpack works as expected. When I re-enable Master Slider, I can no longer access the Jetpack Dashboard or Settings pages.

    To the Master Slider team: Please install JetPack (also the free edition) yourself to test and troubleshoot this issue. Please find the bug which causes this and fix it. With both plugins enabled, I get a long list of errors in the console when visiting the JetPack admin pages. (They are not there when Master Slider is disabled.)

    p.s. – Your Averta login/signup/support pages should updated to HTTPS!

    I have fiddled with a batch of things (too many at once to know which made the difference) and I now have both plugins running at the same time without problems. Marking this as resolved!

    Edit: My mistake, not resolved. I was viewing the Jetpack stats page, not the dashboard or settings pages, which are still MIA.

    My resolution was a workaround: stop using Master Slider on this site and use a different slideshow instead. That solves my problem.

    If anyone else is having a problem with their Jetpack dashboard and stumbles upon this thread, check if you are using both the Master Slider and the Jetpack plugins. If so, try disabling the Master Slider plugin to see if that conflict exists on your site as well. If so, contact the Master Slider plugin authors in a new thread.
