    I created a staging site from the prod site and now Jetpack is only tracking the staging site data. When I log into the prod site, Jetpack says Safe Mode is activated.

    It gives me the option to move jetpack data or treat as independent sites (meaning the prod site will start fresh)

    I’m not sure what (if any) option to choose. I do not want to lose years of data. Should I simply disable Jetpack on the staging site?

    You will want to move the Jetpack data. This will move the data to your production site.

    Additionally, to avoid this situation in the future, please make use of Jetpack’s Staging Mode when using a staging site. You can find directions here:

    Hi!
    I disabled Jetpack on the live and staging site, now when I re-enable it, it does not show data on the live site. Please help!! The data is still on the staging site and now they don’t know about each other.
