• Hi guys.

I am having an odd situation using Jetpack Infinity Scroll module.
The module was activated (JP v2.0.2) and tested on different web browsers on different OSes. I have two instances of WP installed on my web server, one using WPMU and the other a stand alone instance (v3.4.2). Given situation:
    OS:WinXP
Browser: FFv17 – stand alone version works fine, WPMU instance no (live preview here)
Browser: Google Chrome, Safari, Opera, IE8 – the module doesn’t work and the console recorded an error (here is the image)

Yesterday I’ve tested on another machine

    OS:Win7
Browser: FFv17 – stand alone version did not work (error caught something like this)
Browser: Google Chrome and IE9 on stand alone version working just fine, Opera not.

I’ve tried with the latest version for jQuery but with no luck, same errors arose. I don’t know if it is related to my host environment or to the module, so I need another opinion about this.

Any hint will be very welcomed.

    Cheers,
    Cristian Nistor

I forgot about my site’s hotlink protection so, I am uploading the images to a free storage space:
    JSON error
    Chrome JSON error

For the wpmu.lostresort.biz/infinity setup, it appears your XML-RPC isn’t working properly. When I tried checking https://wpmu.lostresort.biz/infinity/xmlrpc.php I got his response back: “XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.<!– WP Super Cache is installed but broken. The path to wp-cache-phase1.php in wp-content/advanced-cache.php must be fixed! –>” That comment is out of place and it looks like a separate plugin might be interfering. Can you address that issue first for that site or temporarily turn off the other plugin to make sure your testing Jetpack without any other potential plugin conflicts?

I checked https://www.lostresort.biz/blog/xmlrpc.php and XML-RPC seems okay at first glance. However, the Jetpack debug tool returns a note saying https://www.lostresort.biz/blog/ is not a Jetpack site when I entered it at https://jetpack.me/support/debug/ Is Jetpack still still enabled and connected on the standalone example?

Getting those basic issues sorted would be a good first step.

    Hi Sheri.

And thank you for your response.

I don’t know why on WPMU XML-RPC endpoint that message regarding the path to advanced-cache.php appears. Even the WP-Super-Cache is installed is not enabled on that site, and the path is set correctly, at least from what I see and know, that message is there.

I run some test regarding the XML-RPC requests on my web space on https://www.eritreo.it/ and it seems that is an error with communication. I’ve attached an screen shot here and open an ticket on my webhosting provider support site.

Jetpack is enabled on both sites and they both show that is communicating with WordPress.com, but on Jetpack debug page it says that is no communication with my blog.

The comment on that xmlrpc.php page shouldn’t be there. Could it be a cached file? Could you try clearing out the caching for it?

Definitely check with your host about the communication error.

For the standalone site, is Jetpack both installed *and* connected?

    Hi Sheri.

Jetpack is installed and connected on my standalone site as it can be seen in this image https://s15.postimage.org/lgbdr31wb/jetpack_enabled.png.

Can you tell me more about that 1000005 error thrown by that application which tests xmlrpc on a WP environment developed by your colleague Danilo?

I got no clear response from my webspace support about this issue. I only presume that somehow communication is broken via xmlrpc.
