    Hello,

I’m using your plugin on all my websites and I’ve noticed that every time I go to my product pages or other random pages, a constant “waiting for i0.wp.com” message is displayed. This causes a significant delay before the images are fully loaded.

I would appreciate any help you can offer to resolve this issue.

    Thank you for your support.

    Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out regarding the delay you are experiencing with image loading due to the “waiting for i0.wp.com” message. It sounds like there might be an issue with the Jetpack Image CDN (previously known as Photon) on your site.

To help me further diagnose the issue, can you confirm whether this delay occurs with all images or only certain ones? Additionally, have you noticed any patterns regarding when the delay happens, such as during peak traffic hours or after recent changes or updates to your site?

In the meantime, here are a few things you can try:

    1. Check Jetpack’s Site Accelerator Settings: Ensure that the Site Accelerator feature is enabled in your Jetpack settings and is configured correctly to serve your images from our CDN.
    2. Jetpack’s Debugging Tool: Visit the Jetpack Debugging page for your website by appending /?jetpack_debug to your site URL. This tool can provide you with information if there are any errors with the Jetpack connection.
    3. Plugin Conflict Test: Deactivate all other plugins aside from Jetpack to see if there is a plugin conflict causing the delay. If the issue resolves, reactivate each plugin one-by-one to identify the culprit.
    4. Theme Conflict Test: Switch to a default WordPress theme temporarily to see if the issue could be theme-related.
    5. Bypass Cache: Try bypassing your browser’s cache by loading the page using Incognito Mode or after clearing your browser cache.
    6. Check your hosting setup: Some hosting configurations might have specific settings that could interfere with external CDN services. You might want to reach out to your web host for insights on this.
    7. Content Delivery Network (CDN): It may be useful to verify if there’s any issue with the CDN routes or server responses. Online tools like Pingdom or GTmetrix can be useful to analyze your site’s speed and potential bottlenecks.

Please note that performance issues related to external resources may sometimes be transient due to network conditions, high load on CDN servers, or other external factors.

After you’ve tried these steps, if the problem persists, please reply in this thread with additional information or updates on how these suggestions worked for you.

Be sure to include any error messages you come across during your debugging process.

    Looking forward to your update!

    Thank you!

    Hello,

The issue remains unresolved. I am experiencing the same problem on all my sites where I use your plugin. Consequently, I’ve had to deactivate the plugin. Later, I conducted a brief investigation of other sites using your plugin and I believe many are unaware of the issue, but it seems like the same problem persists across them. I leave the judgment to you and hope that the issue will be fixed in the next update. Thank you for your attention.

    Hi @rokann,

I’m sorry to hear that the issue persists across multiple sites. We certainly want to get to the bottom of this and ensure that Jetpack is functioning properly for you. Upon attempting to access the site you’ve mentioned, https://trdepoist.net/, I encountered an SSL handshake error with Cloudflare. This indicates there might be a configuration issue that is preventing a secure connection.

Are you aware of this current SSL issue with Cloudflare? It could be a temporary problem, but if it’s an ongoing configuration error, it will need to be resolved to allow us to further investigate the Jetpack-related issue. If this can be addressed, please let us know when we can access the site again.

Alternatively, if you have another site experiencing similar issues with Jetpack’s Image CDN that we can look into, please feel free to share that URL. For privacy, you’re welcome to send the site URL through our contact form if you prefer not to disclose it publicly.

We’re here to help, so once we have access to a site where the problem can be observed, we’ll do our best to diagnose and resolve the issue as swiftly as possible.

    Hello @rokann,

Upon reviewing hnbyalitim.com, I noticed that the Jetpack connection is currently broken. Given that our CDN relies on a stable Jetpack connection, it’s essential to address this issue first to resolve any potential problems you mentioned initially. I suggest starting by temporarily pausing Cloudflare or ensuring that Jetpack IPs are allowlisted, following the instructions provided in this guide.

Regarding trdepoist.net, I’m currently unable to access it and receiving an Error code 525 from Cloudflare.

Furthermore, I recommend checking out this article about using Jetpack and Cloudflare, as it may provide helpful insights.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

I have the same issue, but I am not using the Featured Image from URL plugin. How can I set it so that the links are not forced to become i0.wp.com links?
