    Dear Sir,

I am using BigRock.in to host my website, and using WordPress to build my website with Jetpack plug-in.

    Problem 1

Apparently when I log into my website /wp-admin page it says

“Jetpack has locked your site’s login page.
Your IP address 209.99.16.94 has been flagged for potential security violations. You can unlock your login by sending yourself a special link via email. Learn More”

The IP shown above is not my, I believe it is my hosting website Name server ip address.

I know I can manually disable Jetpack Plug-in from my cPanel or add the above IP to white list via going to wordpress.com and under setting/security.

    Problem 2

I have also notice that after adding the adding the above IP to white list and going to Jetpack Setting, under Security, I see that Jetpack setting is showing the above IP is as my current IP, which is wrong, while in WordPress.com, under my page setting and security, it shows the correct IP address.

Please address how to fix both problems.

    Thanks in advance ??

When your server runs through a reverse-proxy, two IPs are sent over, the server’s and yours.

Normally, your IP should be sent first, but some servers do that backwards.

The good news is, telling our system to look at the second IP instead for your site is just a simple button on our end, and I have just set that now. ??

Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

    Dear Sir,

Jetpack is still showing on the settings, security

    “Your IP – 209.99.16.94”

This is not my IP, it’s my Hosting Server IP.

Could please change it to my IP – starts with 202.xx.xxx.xxx.

Please confirm, before I can switch in brute force.

I am at present cannot use this feature.

    Thanks

Sorry about that, it should be fixed now. I had to try something different, but since the other didn’t work, I’m quite sure this will. ??

    Dear James,

Thanks, it is fixed now and pointing at the correct IP under the security settings.

    Thanks ????

Today I received two “Please moderate comments” for my website, https://sadirastone.com. When I click on those links, I get this message: Your IP address 192.254.236.225 has been flagged for potential security violations. You can unlock your login by sending yourself a special link via email.Okay, I do that and click on the link provided. I get this message: {“error”:”Bad Request”,”message”:”Invalid input.”} What now?

    Hi @rhondagilmour

    Please try the following:

    Jetpack > Settings > Protect > Configure & whitelist your I.P.

If that doesn’t work you’ll need to open up your own thread and we can do more troubleshooting with you there.

How do I open my own thread? I’ve scanned this page and do not see that option. Thanks.
