Jetpack for Starkers (Infinate Scroll activation?)

  • I’m building a blog for my wife using the brand spankin new wordpress, and starkers template. I noticed on their website they mention they have rebuilt the naked theme from the ground-up and “Not one line of code is the same”.

    After researching Jetpack’s infinite scroll support page, I realized that the recent starkers rebuild probably created a different path from the Twenty Twelve, Twenty Eleven and Twenty Ten examples that are provided.

    Anyone out there know the steps one could take to activate the infinite scrolling on the new starkers theme? I’m more of a designer than a developer, so any help is greatly appreciated.

    Edit: I’m currently using the Twenty Twelve example snippet in the functions.php. I can see the Scroll Infinitely option appears in the admin settings, and I see only the 7 blog posts are showing on the homepage, but the additional posts aren’t generating at the end of the scroll. Something’s missing… :/
