Jetpack fails with XML-RPC disabled, site lockout possible

    Hi Dan,
    Thanks for reporting this to me. I just did a test on my server and I am able to activate Jetpack with XML-RPC disabled by WPBruiser.
    I’ve deleted both plugins, I’ve reinstalled them – no issue activating Jetpack.
    I’ve deleted and reinstalled both plugins one by one – no issue activating Jetpack.

    Regarding Password reset, yes, I think you are right. I was not thinking at this scenario.

    Sure, no problem. I have noticed this only on one site under PHP 5.6.20, Apache, Varnish.
