    Hi there, we have been having some trouble getting our 2 posts per week to auto-post to our Facebook Page. We have disconnected our Facebook page from Business Manager, since that seemed to be a jetpack/ FB conflict. And even though the sharing is set to automatic in our .org site and looks like it will post as we write the drafts since the page box is checked, it does not. We have been manually going into the .com side of the site to click “share” from the post, after it’s been published so that our facebook page gets our post updates. We only have this one connection with Jetpack, and only share things 4-10 times a month ( So we’re well below our “sharing quota” on Jetpacks Free plan). After a post is published, the FB box becomes grayed, and unchecked, and another jetpack credit has been used.. but nothing shared. Any thoughts on what else we can try to fix here? Since the page is clearly connected, clearly selected on draft posts before publishing and we’re under the publishing limit? Thanks for the help.

    Hey @rochellemariah – could you please schedule a new post and let us know so that we will check if the scheduled post goes live and then Jetpack shares the post to Facebook or not? Please make sure to provide a scheduled time for the post to go live on Tuesday because, due to weekends, we may not be able to check it so if you will put it Tuesday, someone from the team will check when the scheduled post goes live, does it get shared to Facebook.

    Hi there, sure. We have a post scheduled for 9 am on Tuesday ( March 28, 2023) called Egg-Stravaganza Disney Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt at Epcot… the FB box is checked and directed to our page on FB. Let us know what you find out.

    Hello, just wanted to check in and let you know our 9am for today was posted on our website, but was not sent to FB as hoped.

    I do have a screenshot of box checked for this post in the scheduled draft, if needed.

    I’m sorry for the delay here. It seems like our response wasn’t submitted properly, so I have reproduced it below.

    just wanted to check in and let you know our 9am for today was posted on our website, but was not sent to FB as hoped.

    We’ve checked our logs and we are seeing a message that Facebook was marked as “skip” for that particular post. That doesn’t sound like that’s what you intended, so if you have that screenshot, it would be really helpful in our investigation.

    Hello again, yep, it always says that it was “skipped” post posting… but we always have that box checked… so if it’s coming unchecked… it’s not from us.

    I can share the screenshot of the post scheduled to go live and post to FB on Thursday, 9 am. Since it’s been a week, I already deleted the screenshot from the last post.

    As you can see, this post didn’t post to facebook from jetpack as the screenshot showed. Several people have mentioned that it looks like the post is marked as “skip”… all of our posts always have this box checked as this automation is the only reason we have this plugin…

    Is there something i can check in my website code, that would be causing this every time a post is scheduled?

    Our development team is tracking this, but doesn’t have an estimated timeline for a fix. At present, they suggest trying one of the following to see if it fixes the issue:

    • On a scheduled post in the editor and toggle the Facebook setting to off and back to on.
      or
    • Trash the scheduled posts and reschedule them.

    I’d recommend trying the first suggestion on your next scheduled post. Let us know if that makes a difference next time one is posted automatically. If it doesn’t, please share the URL here so we can take a look.

    Hi there, just wanted to share an update, that the trashing and rescheduling as a new post worked. The bug seems to be in posts scheduled that were created prior to some unknown date. The post that sucessfully posted today- on FB, autoposting, was created maybe 2 weeks ago, all posts prior to that in our scheduling queue have not been sucessful.

    Since this seems to be an issue based on when the post was created, we’ll just continue manually posting to FB, until the older scheduled posts are cleared from the queue.
