• Resolved bowshop

    (@bowshop)

I recently updated to WordPress 6.0. Before the update, Jetpack worked fine, however now any time Jetpack is enabled, I get nothing but errors when attempting to change settings with my website. If I try to make a change on Jetpack settings, I receive the following error: Jetpack encountered an error and was unable to display the Dashboard. Please try refreshing the page. In the console I see multiple error 500s. If I attempt to change settings on other plugins, I get various errors as well. If I deactivate Jetpack, all of the errors go away. Please let me know what I can do to resolve this. Website url: bowfishing.shop

    Thanks,
    Tim

    Hi @bowshop

Did the WordPress.com user account used to connect Jetpack change recently? In the logs it appears to have done so around the time you posted this message.

To fix this issue, can you please deactivate and delete Jetpack entirely, and then reinstall it, as described here:

    https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#reinstalling-jetpack

*Please note* you shouldn’t lose any data (including stats and followers), but your settings will be reset so you’ll need to set them again after reinstalling and reconnecting.

Let us know if that helps!

    Hi @bruceallen,

I don’t recall changing any user account. When I go through the process reinstalling Jetpack, following your link, it automatically logs me in using my WordPress.com account. After installation is complete, I encounter the same issues. Just received a new error: There was an error reconnecting Jetpack. Error: There has been a critical error on this website. Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress. Regardless of which account I connect, it seems to have nothing but issues.

This is really frustrating because I can’t take in person credit payments without Jetpack, do I have to pay for support in order to get this resolved quickly?

Also I noticed the Woo mobile only works when Jetpack is deactivated. If I activate Jetpack and open the Woo app, I can a connection error.

    Hi @bowshop,

I am sorry you’re still having trouble connecting with Jetpack.

do I have to pay for support in order to get this resolved quickly?

The forum is for Jetpack free users, while customers who purchased a plan get priority support via email.

Usually, critical errors go beyond the [scope of our support](https://jetpack.com/support/scope-of-support/); however, if this error got triggered upon installing and activating Jetpack, it is possible that there is something in the Jetpack settings that needs some investigation from our end.

Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?
