    The notification emails for new blogposts are not sent out anymore.

    It worked like a charm for months, but now when I publish a new post, no email notifications are sent out (I’ve asked people and I have a subscription myself).

    The email subscriptions works (as are all the other JP functions, statistics e.g.), but New Post notifications are not sent out.

  • Am I missing something? I read over a year ago about subscription “excerpts” and “Read more” links were on the table, but I see no evidence of that in my always latest JetPack and WP gold. I would add my voice to those who REALLY REALLY would appreciate this capability.

    I do not want the entire “unformatted” text sent to subscribers. I want to “tease” them to come to the web site via a quick link. I use many formatting shortcodes which of course do not roll into the email, and I often edit, so not only do subscribers get an ugly version, they get an old version of the article…

    To me, “notification” denotes a link or teaser, not the whole schmoe…

    Not sure how your comments relate to my problem that the emails are not sent. To me it doesn’t matter if the whole blogpost is sent, in fact I prefer this myself, when I subscribe via email.
    The problem is that the emails aren’t sent at all.
    But I’ll wait till the Jetpack staff is back.

    I’ve noticed the problem this week. My email notifications are not being sent consistently. The blog I just posted was sent to a few people, but not all. I tried subscribing with a new email address to see if the subscription notice was sent that that didn’t work either. Please share any insight into what may be causing this.     @discmandavid Could you contact us via email and give us a few examples of the email addresses that did not receive the notification emails so we can investigate further by checking our email logs?

    I signed up to receive a subscription, about 2 weeks ago and have not received notification of a new post. I received a subscription confirmation email. I also see that I am following my blog in my wordpress.com reader and it says that I get instant email posts.

    My email address is at yahoo.com and I checked my spam today just to confirm that the email did not go there.

    The other issue is that my email does not show up in my dashboard as a subscriber. (separate topic?)

    Please advise…

    @divinewiz Could you contact us via email and let us know the site you subscribed to as well as your email address, as I mentioned above? That will allow us to check our logs to see what happened.

    @divinewiz When did you send us that email? We’ve replied to all emails that were sent yesterday.
    Could you try to send us a new email?
