    Hello, can you answer this-
I’m using jetpack so whenever I publish a new post two things happen-
    1. Jetpack sends new post via Email to all subscribers
    2. New post appears on WordPress readers section under ‘following’ category.

In both cases, a full post appears, not a summary. But the concern is I don’t want to show full posts on Emails, only. I want that whenever I publish a new post and Jetpack sends emails, it should only show the summary.

I have no problem, if a full post appears on WordPress reader section, the problem is with Emails only.

(If you’ll tell me to enable the ‘Show Summary’ option in the WordPress.com dashboard under settings, then I already did this and it worked. But it showed the summary on both- Emails and WordPress Readers Section.
But I want the summary of the post in Emails only.

Is that possible? I hope you understand.

    Hello, there.

The setting inside WordPress to either change to summary or full text is universal – In other words, it will apply both to the Reader as well as Jetpack Subscriptions emails. There is no way to separate how each works.

Please let us know if you have any other questions!

    Thankyou for clarifying.

But Ive seen other WordPress websites doing that. Their posts comes in summary via Jetpack Email but shows full post on WordPress reader, the same time.

    Hi @ritishsharma

You can achieve that part using More Block.

With the “Full text” option enabled, your followers will get the full content of your posts. If you prefer, you can split the content of each one of your blog posts into two parts, using More Block.

Everything that is above the More tag will appear on your home page and in the subscription emails, followed by a link inviting users to click to continue reading. Everything that is below that tag will only appear on the post’s page.

This change will happen only to emails that Jetpack will send for your future post, but in Reader, there will be no change (full post will be shown there), which is also your requirement.

Example email (part of the post): https://d.pr/i/ue3iQX

    Example Reader (full post): https://d.pr/i/1fbdmB

    Alright, that make sense.
Will try that on my upcoming posts. But hope my theme doesn’t cause any issue doing that.

Thank-you so much for suggesting me this.
