• I call it an “inside out” message. A visitor to my site tries to send me a message using a contact form added to the page with JetPack. But instead of the form data, the email I get is the text of the page on which the contact form lives.

It’s random. Doesn’t happen all the time. But I sure need to figure out how to fix this.

    Who can I call? lol.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

In other words, JetPack emails me the submission, but does not record it in the database.

That’s really weird, especially considering that the Contact Form module starts by creating the entry in the database (using wp_insert_post (#, #) ), and then sends the email (#).

Either something is stopping the entries from being recorded in the database (it could be a conflict with some of the post types you created with the Custom Post Type UI plugin), either the emails you get are not sent via Jetpack’s Contact Form module.

Could you tell me more about these emails? If you’d like, you can forward me one of them via this contact form, and mention this thread so I can follow up with you.

    Thanks!

I have sent you a sample via your contact form.
