Jetpack contact forms

Just downloaded jetpack and activated. Using contact forms, created snappy new form and think I did everything right. filled out form and submitted. After submission, form doesn’t clear, I would like it to and there is no message saying form successfully sent. how do I accomplish this. also email does not appear to have been sent out. please help, anyone???
