The 520 error is a generic response that occurs when a server returns something unexpected. This error indicates that your server refused the connection from Cloudflare.
Please check with your host about this issue, assuming they set up Cloudflare for you. You may also find this tutorial useful.
Note, too, that your site is not currently accessible (at least to me). I’m seeing a DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN error in my browser. This might also be at play here. That is a DNS resolution issue that your host should also be able to help out with.
Hi,
For me the site works but Cloudfare blocks https://www.coscienzamaschile.com/blog/xmlrpc.php
I disabled Cloudflare as told by host and Jetpack connection now works, but public stats widget (Statistiche) is still stuck (admin panel stats work correctly).
Is there a way to make xmlrpc.php work without disabling Cloudflare and is there a solution to unbloc stats widget stuck at 49813?
Everything worked until a few days ago and I did not make any modification. I also purged all caches

If you want to keep Cloudflare active such that Jetpack can still connect, please add Jetpack’s IPs to the allowlist:
https://jetpack.com/support/how-to-add-jetpack-ips-allowlist/
Please note that these IP addresses could change (or more could be added) at anytime, which could break your connection to Jetpack. For this reason, we actually discourage whitelisting specific IPs, although this seems to be the only option for now.
We are aware of the recent issue with the blog stats widget that appears to have been caused by recent changes to the Jetpack stats module, and we are looking into it internally.
Thanks.
Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
I created a whitelist but if I activate Cloudflare Jetpack connection breaks. See the following screenshots, IPs seem correctly set:Hi again, @coscienzamaschile,
It looks like your site is down entirely now, unfortunately.
Once you’re back online, here are a few more articles to consider:
Configuring Jetpack and Cloudflare to play nice together: https://jetpack.com/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/configure-jetpack-cloudflare/
Cloudflare’s documentation about Jetpack: https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/218377098-WordPress-Jetpack-and-Cloudflare
One final note: I don’t see any history in our logs of https://www.coscienzaaschile.com/blog or https://www.coscienzaaschile.com/ ever being connected to Jetpack, broken connection or not. Is there a chance that you previously connected with a different URL, like a development domain?
Hi,
There is a typing error, the website is :
https://www.coscienzamaschile.com/blog
Sorry and please check againHi there, @coscienzamaschile,
Thanks for sharing the correct site URL! I checked that, and I can confirm that there is still a block preventing the connection from working as expected.
Have you got the chance to check the Cloudflare documentation Jen shared earlier?
Here it is again:– https://jetpack.com/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/configure-jetpack-cloudflare/
– https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/218377098-WordPress-Jetpack-and-CloudflareIf you still struggle with that, I recommend reaching out to the Cloudflare folks, who should be able to help you fix that.
Let us know how you get on, and we’ll take it from there if necessary.
Thanks for sorting this out with us!
Hi,
I performed all the recommended tasks, but with Cliudflare on the problem persists:COSCIENZA MASCHILE is not connected.: 200
I’ve looked more closely at the error page shown by Cloudflare when I try to access https://www.coscienzamaschile.com/blog/xmlrpc.php?for=jetpack and it says
Web server is returning an unknown error
.It’s possible that Cloudflare is simply throwing an error response at us that originated from your main hosting server.
Try checking the following:
1. Can you see the
/xmlrpc.php
file at the root of your WordPress installation when accessing your site via SSH or FTP? If you don’t, then please try re-installing WordPress. You can do this by going to the Dashboard > Upgrades page, then clicking the “Reinstall” button.
2. Do you use any other non-Jetpack security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try to disable them? You might also want to check your site’s .htaccess file for any rules blocking access to the xmlrpc.php file.
3. Does your hosting provider block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to your site’s file, I recommend that you get in touch with your host.Let us know how that goes.

1. Yes but only if Clouedflar eis disabled (paused)
2. No
3. No, they unblocked it days ago ant it works with Cloudflare pausedIn that case, this must be Cloudflare-specific. Please try asking about this issue on the Cloudflare Community site:
Unofortunately the posted a vague reply which did not resolve the problem. I also whitelisted the Jetpack Ips without results
UPDATE: now https://www.coscienzamaschile.com/blog/xmlrpc.php
works with cloudflare active, but still shows error 200 connection in WordPress dashboard- This reply was modified 2 years ago by coscienzamaschile.
Hi @coscienzamaschile –
When we test the Jetpack Connection to your site, we are still getting
520: Web server is returning an unknown error
.Cloudflare has some documentation on how to resolve the issue here:
You will need to work with Cloudflare to resolve the issue.
