Jetpack connected, but plugins don't show up

    Theme: Coraline

    The site is “under construction” so I did not yet place it directly on the url, which is used by the old website still.

    I have a succesful connection to Jetpack and I can add with no problem it’s first widget (subscriptions) to the side-bar, only visible on the “Nieuws” page.

    The problem is, that although I don’t get an error placing the widget, it doesn’t show up online.

    Then I tried using the Favicon plugin in Jetpack. I activated it and in the general settings of the site the button for adding a favicon appeared. But when I select a file for upload it displays a message: Access denied.

    The site is hosted by Antagonist in the netherlands but they claim not to know of any server issues with Jetpack.

    How do I get Jetpack to work properly?
