My tests are showing that the WP Retina 2x plugin does not place retina versions of expanded gallery images that have been included within a WordPress native photo gallery. Can anyone confirm this? Is there a fix or hack to display retina images with photo galleries? And lastly, if there is no fix to this issue, is there another photo gallery plugin that can display the generated retina images and integrate with the Retina 2x plugin?

I don’t care if the gallery thumbnail images are non retina, but once the gallery thumbnail is clicked I would like the large gallery images to be retina quality.

I am also trying to make the Carousel galleries retina-ready, as well as the logo.

    I added the logo to
Appearance > Theme Options > General > Logo

But, on the new retina-ready devices laptops, Surface tablets, iPads, iPhones, the logo is fuzzy.

Is there a way to add code to display a 300dpi version of the logo on retina-ready devices. Can we add code in Style.css that would detect it, like with responsive layout, or add a plugin?

Logo has always to be uploaded manually (@2x version), then you need specific CSS like the responsible layout are using.

WordPress galleries work with WP Retina 2x, in fact anything which is not hacking into WordPress must work with it.
