    Hi Guys,

If I understand Jetpack Carousel correctly, to open a single image (Image Block) in a carousel, you need to set the “Link to” option to Attachment Page. This works as expected.

Regarding a typical multi-image gallery (Gallery Block), is there any difference in carousel functionality between setting the image “Link to” option to Media File or None? Jetpack Carousel seems to work fine either way. (I understand that the images won’t be “clickable” if set to None).

I ask because a few other lightbox plugins require that the “Link to” option be set to Media File, or the lightbox won’t open.

    Thanks.

Why do you need a URL?

I’m not reporting a problem, or requesting help to correct one. I’m simply looking for clarification on how Jetpack Carousel works.

    Thanks.

    Hi @detroitwidget

If you want to open a single image in the lightbox, you can use the Attachment option.

But if you want to load the whole gallery, you don’t have to set the image’s link, just add them to the gallery and the Carousel will open the lightbox for the whole gallery.

I hope it clarifies your question.
