JetPack by WordPress crashed my site!

  • I put in a complaint yesterday (7th September 2016) but can’t find it today (8th Sept 2016)!
    So I’m trying again:
    Yesterday I up graded to WordPress v4.6 and then updated Jetpack by WordPress.
    The moment I updated Jetpack my site crashed, got sad-face icon page. So got my ISP to login for me and when Jetpack was re-updated or deleted and re-installed, my site still crashed.
    I have lost the privilege of seeing how many visitors to my site!
    Today I have updated WordPress to v4.6.1
    Is it safe now to re-install Jetpack?
    If not, what can I do to get back Jetpack’s plugin, without it crashing my site?

    First of all, sorry for all the trouble! There were indeed issues with Jetpack 4.3, that was released a couple of days ago. We’ve since released an update to address the issues. If you download and install Jetpack 4.3.1, you shouldn’t run into any issues.
