Jetpack backup fails

    Jetpack backup has been failing on one of my sites since Feb 2024. It worked fine before that. It works fine on another of my sites with identical hosting and theme. I’ve done every check the help docs suggest. The backup gets to 84%, hangs and then fails. Nothing in the error logs throws an error. The hosting service, theme and plugin developers have no more suggestions.

    If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread. Before you reach out, I’d recommend doing the following:

    • Fix the issues that are causing your site not to load. When I visit it, I see errors: Deprecated: Function load_plugin_textdomain was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 2.7.0 with no alternative available
    • Once your site is back online, you can try adding server credentials to Jetpack. The credentials we have on file are no longer valid, and it is possible that server credentials may overcome the error that you are getting when the backups get to ~84%.
