    Hi,

I am facing issue with jetpack autosync posts on my social media platform. Most of the post are published on facebook and twitter but sometimes the auto sycn doesn’t work. There is no error in the backend.

Even when I check the wordpress.com dashboard few of my posts do not get published on my social platfroms.

Please let me know if you need me to supply any additional information.

    Regards,
    Deepak

  • Hi @deepakg91

You’ve mentioned having issues with some posts not being shared to Facebook and Twitter because of the auto-sync, and we’d be happy to look into this for you.

Please share with us your website URL. If you wish to remain private with that, you can reach out to us here instead. Don’t forget to include a link to this thread if you do.

    Hi Mehdi,

    Please find the website link

    Hi @deepakg91

Thanks for sharing that with us! I’ve taken a look there, and I can see that the Jetpack connection is working correctly, so I’d be happy if you shared with us an example post that had the issue. By default, Publicize only works with the default post type of WordPress, so we’ll want to check whether you are using a custom type or not before checking this further.

Please share with us an example post of where you experienced this issue.

    Hi @deepakg91

When you share a post on Facebook, or when Jetpack Publicize publishes a post to your Facebook page, Facebook crawls the page and looks for Open Graph meta tags in the head to build a complete post preview (with an image, title, description, …). Jetpack automatically creates these Open Graph Meta tags for you unless you already use another Open Graph plugin, in which case we let the other plugin handle things.

You can see what Facebook sees by entering one of your posts’ URLs in Facebook Debugger: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

I would recommend using the URL above to figure out if the Open Graph Meta Tags are properly added to your site, or if something seems wrong with them.?Looking at your site, I see that you have not one, but 2 sets of Open Graph Meta tags. One is added by Jetpack and I believe the other is added by the Yoast SEO plugin. As mentioned before, we automatically disable our open graph tags when this happens as?Facebook doesn’t always like duplicate tags.?

If you would rather just use Jetpack’s open graph tags, you can use this plugin to keep them on:

If you don’t want to use this plugin but you continue to have issues with your open graph tags, you will need to contact Yoast support for further help:

    https://yoast.com/help-center-yoast-seo/

Let me know if you have any questions about this!
