Jetpack auto-enabling tax rates

    Hi we are using Jetpack along with Woocommerce Shipping & Tax. But we want to only using the shipping feature of it for making shipping labels. Unfortunately we are experiencing that everytime we are troubleshooting a plugin conflict when we re-activate jetpack plugin two problems arise.

    1) It stops recording orders on the live site (we are doing the troubleshooting on a staging site through WP-engine). We have to disconnect and reconnect the account for it to record orders again.

    2) Once enabled and re-linked it automatically enables the tax rates so customers get charged taxes when they shouldn’t.

    Is there anyway to fix these two issues? If #1 is inevitable I’d like to have #2 fixed more since it is affecting customers.

    Hi there

    Having Jetpack connected on both a live and staging site is not ideal, as it cause the sites to get mixed up in our system, which may explain the first issue you’re seeing here. We suggest using Staging Mode on staging sites to avoid this issue:

    If that resolves the first issue, then it should also solve the second, since you won’t need to keep reconnecting Jetpack.
