I have been sent here by WordPress support.

On my site I have an issue with Minification of CSS and JavaScript. I tried to install W2 Total Cache to fix this but upon installing it, it was “disabled.”

I went to WordPress support to ask why and was told that W3 conflicted with JetPack Boost and referred me her.

Can JetPack fix my issues with Minification?

My issues may be found here:

    Hi @devin104

Jetpack Boost can help with CSS and JS minification. Those features are called Concatenate CSS and Concatenate JS within Jetpack Boost.

Are you having any issues with turning those on?

Rank Math tells me the scripts in the images above need to be Minified.

My settings in JetPack are each properly set so I am trying to discover how to minify them.

    What should I do?

    Thank you

Could somebody please get back to me on this issue? If you wish to access my dashboard to confirm what I have told you that is fine with me.

    Thank you

    Hi @devin104,

Thank you for waiting. I’ve sent this to our developers so they can take a look. They will examine the specifics of the script you’re trying to minify and determine the best course of action to ensure proper minification through Jetpack Boost

    Please stay tuned!

    Hi @devin104!

I checked your site and your scripts seem to be minified already. Could it be a false alarm?

Please post a screenshot of the rankmath message so we have more context.

    I appreciate your reply.

The error message is from Rank Math as shown in this image: https://imgur.com/a/W3nAQMC

In communication with Jeremy at Rank Math, he sent me the message below and requested I inform WordPress Support of his message to me.

“Checking the files, there are some files that are already minified but I see there are comments in the code which is why our plugin is still marking them as “unminified”. The rest of the files are still showing unminified versions such as CSS codes even with the Jetpack Boost plugin installed.

    Please check these screenshots:

Can you please check this one with the support folks from Jetpack since our plugin doesn’t have control over these files?

    Looking forward to helping you.”

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for sharing the screenshot. Seems like there is a bug in Boost that skips parts of minification. We will work on a fix to address that.

While minification will be better when we fix this, please note that you should continue to use minification now since this still helps your site regardless of the warnings.

    I appreciate your reply.

I have JetBoost to perform mimification.

If there is anything else I should do “to continue to use minification” please let me know and I will do so.

I looked at the link you provided.

How will I be notified when this issue is resolved?

    Thank you
