I had a problem with a plug-in which has since been resolved. To resolve the problem I had to demote my Admin account to a subscriber, then promote it back to Admin. In doing this my Jetpack stats stopped working.

I disabled my Jetpack installation then re-activated it. This required me to reauthorize Jetpack with WP, which I did. Things seem to be working fine as I can see my stats and other services are working and visible in the Dashboard.

The problem is my Admin bar is still missing. I can’t see my stats across the top of my blog anymore, I can’t quickly access the dashboard by clicking the link in the upper left corner anymore and it doesn’t show my logged in status and drop down to my account in the upper left corner anymore. My entire admin bar is missing.

Any ideas how I can get it back?

What tab on the Chrome console should I look at for errors? On the “Console” tab I see this:

The two “GET” lines start with red x’s which I assume are errors.

gstatic seems to refer to Google resources. I don’t think it’s what’s creating the issue here, but could you deactivate all plugins that add Google Badges to your site, or use Google Resources?

I finally figured it out on my own… it took forever, but I wanted to share the fix in case others encountered the same problem.

A database setting (show_admin_bar_front) was set to false for my admin user. This was done inadvertently by following instructions given to my be a WP tech here on the forum to correct another bug I had encountered. You can see that discussion here:

Now everything is working as it should.
