Jetpack Mechanic ??

Can you contact your hosting provider and explain to them that we are unable to access your blog via cURL, which is needed in order to use Jetpack on your site.

You can let them know we tested the following:

1. Check for access to xmlrpc.php via browser:
https://www.rahulkcjain.com/xmlrpc.php

That test returned “XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.” which is a valid result.

2. Check for access via cURL by running the following command from the command prompt:
curl -is -H ‘Content-Type: text/xml’ –data ‘<?xml version=”1.0″?><methodCall><methodName>demo.sayHello</methodName><params></params></methodCall>’ ‘https://www.rahulkcjain.com/xmlrpc.php’ && echo

The cURL test returned the following invalid result:

HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found

Please provide the information above to your hosting provider so that they can correct the server settings to allow cURL access.

Thanks!

Dear Jeremy,

I contacted my hosting provider and asked them for all the errors. But they have replied back saying that everything is working fine from their end.

Please HELP!

Jetpack Mechanic ??

@rahulkcjain I’m afraid the cURL test still returns an invalid output.

If the problem is not caused by your hosting provider, you’ll want to disable all plugins on your site, one at a time, until you find what’s causing this issue. You might want to start with security plugins that may block access to your site in any way.

Thanks!

Hello Jeremy,

i have the same problem on the following sites: computer-administrator.com/pcgames , computer-administrator.com/musik-download.

so at First i have deaktivate all plugins, activate the thwenty twelve theme, the link to my xmlrpc.php is working.

Could it be that the firewall is blocking the connection to the jetpack server? We have a hosted Server with the Parallels Panel.

Kind Regards

Lukas

here is the error code:

The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site https://www.computer-administrator.com/pcgames [IXR -32300: transport error: http_request_failed transfer closed with 42 bytes remaining to read]

I’m having a similar problem. It hasn’t happened before. I get this message on 2 new sites.

Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site https://poundmusicempire.seeds2sow.org [IXR -32300: transport error: http_request_failed Couldn’t resolve host ‘poundmusicempire.seeds2sow.org’]

Could it have anything to do with Hostgator (my host) who have done major changes this past week – just moved to a new server? Or would it be something else?
