Same here. Does not have the option to link to WP and amny of the plugins cannot be activated.

Sorted this out actually: turned out I had dev mode still enabled in wp-config.php. Make sure that you do not.

I’m glad you guys resolved this. As a matter of fact, a colleague of mine IS working on something that will make it much clearer when a site is in debug mode. I do not know if he has a proof-of-concept ready yet, but I will ask him to weigh in on this thread and share his thoughts. Thanks!

What I’m working on would drop an notice on the Jetpack page to alert folks that Development Mode is active (or nothing if running normally).

It is jarring to not see a connection option and no clear explanation why. The next version of JP has a design overhaul and the proof-of-concept I had was on the old design. I need to test it out on the new before proposing the code for inclusion.
