Jetpack 2.0.4 Breaks NextGen Galleries

Guys, i had the samr problem, about nextgen not showing the slideshowa.
i deleted jetpack and the problem was still there.
i figured that the problem was with WP Super Cache!!!
even deactivated the problem is there. But when i deleted it everything workwd fine even with jetpack!!!!
So the problem for me was Super cache

@photocrati i activate permalinks it made no differences with jetpack on or disabled. I am using Version 1.9.10and i have tried 1.9.11-beta1. do you want to have a look ?

why do i even need jetpack? i have a gallery website as opposed to a blog, and both times i have tried jp, my site has slowed down dramatically and ie9 keeps asking me if i only want secure content displayed each and every page i try and open.

i had this thing just fine and then added that damn jetpack and had to do the wordpress.com connection, which i don’t really want.

am i missing something? what are the advantages of jetpack?

Since I have the same issue and it looks like there’s no solution yet, I will wait for either a jetpack or nextgen gallery bug fix. Please keep us posted!

I already deactivated all plugins. Nextgen then showed it’s galleries after activating them all. Scratching my head about this I reassembled the connection with wordpress.com and oops there it was again. Album site visible, galleries blank.

Thanks for your thoughts on returning the content (both here and on wp-hackers), but is there a chance you might elaborate on the bug you say NextGEN’s had for years? I’ve been examining the code, and can’t seem to find a single instance where NextGEN isn’t “return”-ing the content to be inserted into a post. You say it’s at a much deeper level…would you know of any old topics on the forums where this is discussed in greater detail?

I’ve been looking into this after receiving a number of NextGEN-related support emails regarding this issue…

I’ve found a working temporary fix for Jetpack (above), however the more permanent solution added in NextGEN v.1.9.11 Beta hasn’t solved this issue.

Any further insight you can provide would be much appreciated!

Hello, could someone please give an update on things with Nextgen and Jetpack.
I have two different environments. One works fine, one not.

Here they are:
Works: PHP 2.4, WordPress 3.5.1-de, NextGen Gallery 1.9.12, Jetpack 2.2.5
Doesn’t work: PHP 2.3, WordPress 3.4.1 Multisite activated, NextGen Gallery 1.9.10, Jetpack 2.2.5

Unfortunately I can’t update to NextGen 1.9.12 which seems to solve the problem because it requires WordPress 3.5 and I don’t know whether the WordPress update is not offered because of the PHP-version or due to Multisite.

The former bugfix within jetpack’s code is no longer feasible because those lines vanished with a recent update from their side. What shall I do unless just sit and wait for the multisite installation to update WordPress? Thx for any suggestion.

I could not give up and found out the following:

Besides the conflicts between Jetpack and Nextgen there was another Plugin interfering. I deactivated “Facebook like thumbnail” and volá!

So please forget about the last entry. Hopefully I got the roots of the weeds. Thanks for those who work on WordPress!
