Jenny-Fa – A personal blog, Orange Jellies style

  • Good evening… I updated the theme of my personal blog, and it now features a bowl of luscious orange jellies (Chinese gelatin desserts with bits of orange in them). Also, I fear my stylesheet’s become a labyrinth of sorts… it’s a lot bigger than before.

    Anyway… any constructive criticism or comments? Replies would be much appreciated.

  • I think it looks great. My two suggestions are that you

    a) ditch the tables. I could actually tell they were tables because they took about a .25 seconds longer to load =P

    b) keep all the CSS formatting in stylesheets to simplify the source.

    Aside from that, good work. Simple, loads quick, attractive header.

    Ah, actually, theiconoclast31, if you looked carefully through the source code, I did not use tables for the layout at all. It was completely laid out with divs and CSS.

    But thanks for the compliment.

    I just get a blank page…. even after reloading.

    Nothing here either.

    And I am the 3rd “nothing”.

    Sorry, the server was experiencing technical difficulties a while ago, but it should be up and running now. Now’s your chance to visit if you haven’t already. ^_^

    that’s an impressive site considering your unfortunate circumstances! Good luck with keeping your online expression going. I would think your folks would be really impressed with your web skills.

    Something is putting tables in your code. It’s not WordPress doing it is it? I though WP did’t generate tables for it formatting.

    Nice – I like this a lot!

    And yeah, there’s a table in there, but it’s in an entry. I would say she put that there on purpose, because it’s tabular data. A perfectly good use for tables ??

    Yes, jpconcepts, the table was for listing my school schedule. It’s also the only table in the site so far.
